Since 1989 Smile Publishing Limited has provided free publicity magazines to the Voluntary Sector with in the NHS and we currently publish magazines for over 65 Trusts across the UK. We service Voluntary Service Managers, Hospital Radio, The league of Hospital Friends and the WRVS.
Smile Publishing started when an idea was sparked by a routine visit to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford. "Wouldn't it be nice to have an information and entertainment magazine available to all at no cost to the hospital". After much negotiation with Hospital Management, our first contract was won!
In 2000 Smile! was awarded the coveted Investors in People award and again in 2004. This accreditation is given to companies who are able to demonstrate a keen desire in the training and development of its staff.
In 2006 we have grown into an organisation employing some 30 people and this is set to grow. We now provide hospital patient magazines to some 60 Hospital Trusts up and down the country and continue to be the premier provider of hospital magazines to the voluntary sector of the NHS.
Smile! is a flourishing and profitable business, our growth has been made possible by the people we employ and our strong desire to serve and look after our customers. Our mission statement says it all:
