Val d’Isère is widely considered the world’s best ski resort. There is nowhere else with such a combination of an exceptional snow record, varied, endless pistes, infinite off-piste, high-speed lifts, international ski schools, restaurants for every palate and pocket, and fun nightlife. All this doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg: the lift pass is cheaper than in any comparable resort, there are restaurants where you can eat as cheaply as in Britain, and you can hire adequate equipment for next to nothing.
