Avenue Decorators was first established in Hartlepool in 1985 by Mr. V. Matthews as a Sole Trader , specialising in Artexing and Decorative Spraying. The business has gone from strength to strength and now covers a complete decorating and pre-joinery and property maintenance service throughout the north-east region.

Avenue Decorators still believe in the old values of customer service and value for money. We are one of a few companies still undertaking apprenticeship training, employing a trainee every other year, and training them to at least NVQ level 3. Over the years a number of our trainees have achieved apprentice of the year with the local college of Further Education.

The company does not employ sales staff preferring all enquiries to be dealt with by Mr. Matthews. We prefer a friendly approach, spending time with clients to ensure we meet their exact requirements. Over 90% of all work received is by way of recommendation from satisfied clients.

We undertake work in all areas of the trade from commercial, domestic and industrial.
