The company started in 1966 initially supplying wholesalers with packed bedding materials for the pet trade, i.e. sawdust and hay. The range was extended to cover bird sand, filter mediums for fish tanks, decorative gravel's etc. Packaging in the form of polythene bags, paper sacks and once used cardboard cartons were used to distribute these products. New packaging was expensive and once used was in short supply. A lot of work went into building up a network of suppliers especially the cardboard cartons and eventually we hadsurplus to our needs. Rather than interrupt this supply, markets were sort to dispose of them for a profit. This side of the business steadily increased and in 1976 the company was made a limited one.
Over the years the selling of once used and eventually new cartons became the principle occupation of the company. The packing of goods was eased out and new packaging materials introduced into stock for reselling.
Today we do no packing at all, but, we do supply 100's of thousands of used and new cartons throughout the South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire districts. We offer a full range of packaging materials to augment the cartons, i.e. tape to seal them with, pallets to stack them on, strapping and stretch-film to secure them.
Protective packaging also forms a major part of our stock items including foam and plastic bubble products.
Our service is something that we are very proud of with delivery next day in 90% of cases and definitely within 48 hours. If you are really desperate we will even try and deliver the same day. We use our own delivery vehicles to achieve this so that we are able to react to your demands.
