DigitalExposure Ltd started off in 1991 as ‘Andreas Vogt Photography’ – one man and a camera, specialising in advertising photography and product photography. Over the next couple of years the business built up a steady and reliable client base.
1997 started to ring the changes with our first tentative foray into digital photography. We purchased a camera providing a file of 480 x 640 pixels at a cost of just over £1000 – today the cheapest mobile phone would a provide better image quality.
In 1999 we invested heavily in the latest ‘state of the art’ digital photographic technology in the commercial photography world, leading our clients towards the digital age. This way we have always been at the forefront of technological development rather than limping behind.
The new equipment had a ‘Heath Robinson’ quality about it; it was clumsy and cumbersome to use. We did, however, find ways around all the little challenges we encountered and gave our clients the kind of service they should be able to expect from a professional advertising and product photography studio. We still pride ourselves on the level of service we offer today.
As the digital workflow was particularly suitable for commercial and product photography the changeover from analog to completely digital happened much faster than expected - within 12 months we stopped using film altogether.
Over the years we have regularly updated our equipment and now have the facilities for 6 simultaneous work stations offering everything you would expect from a professional commercial photography studio, from a single packshot to entire catalogues and from simple cut out image to creative advertising photography.
What started off as a one man band now employs 5 fulltime staff and several part timers and freelancers.
Our philosophy towards our work is simply to provide our clients with a professional, high quality, value for money service delivered on budget and to agreed deadline.
